Since 1980 we have worked so that children and young people in vulnerable contexts can access an education of excellence, with equity.
Home / About us
We are a beacon of innovation, diversity, community, learning, inclusion and excellence. We run two state-subsidized schools in Puente Alto and Peñalolén, with 100% public funding and full accountability.
We believe that all children and young people, whatever their background, have the right and the ability to learn, grow and transform their destiny. Our mission is to create the conditions for that to happen.
In Peñalolén, Ana Lucía Elgueta founds Colegio San Fernando with 78 students, beginning a history of commitment to quality education in vulnerable contexts.
Colegio Mirador is founded in Puente Alto, extending FEDUCA’s reach to a second community with high levels of educational vulnerability.
The first Fab Labs, the adoption of Meeting Wise (Harvard) and the launch of PRED, establishing FEDUCA as a benchmark for innovation within the subsidized system.
PDSA cycles, driver diagrams and Bridge Milestones are introduced as continuous-improvement tools. Results consistently exceed the district average.
A new educational project (PEI) co-created with the whole community. A focus on social-emotional learning, computational thinking and teacher career pathways.
